Quick Fix for Broken Laptop Hinges

The hinges on my Inspiron 300m are worn out. Being cheap and not wanting to fork out > $100 for new hinges I came up with this simple workaround with velcro strips and a brace- mightn't look the best but it works!

Step 1: Attach Velcro Strips

Get some velcro strips and attach to the bottom of the laptop and the back of the screen. In retrospect I would probably go for wider strips than I have now.

Step 2: Attach Brace

Use an old brace or get one for $1.50 at the hardware store and secure it onto the laptop using the strips. Voila, the screen now stays up!!
