Samsung Galaxy TAB-2 (GT-P5113) No Display Symptom Solved!

Samsung Galaxy TAB-2 (GT-P5113) No Display Symptom Solved!

I received a Samsung Galaxy TAB2 GT-P5113 (10.1 inches) with complaint no display problem. When the TAB/tablet is turned on, you cannot see any display, but when using a flashlight shine on the TAB screen there, a faint display is visible and all function work as normal. That means the problem higher chances is in the screen backlight defective.

After Googling it and search through many forums, there was no closer to a solution. In most cases, people had replaced the whole LED panel/screen, but that did not fix the problem. This was obviously problem on the LED backlight driver circuit.

Upon inspection of LED driver circuit, i found that their Vcc 32V was missing. So i trace it back to this Vcc line and their corresponding components. Finally i found that L803 was opened circuit, which had been caused by C828 shorting out. These components are located close to the cable that connects to the LED panel.

I replaced both the faulty components and power up the Samsung TAB, it has backlight now! After replaced L803 (600, 1608, TP, BEAD-SMD) and C828 (4700nF, 10%, 50V, X5R, TP, 3216, 0, C-CER, CHIP), the Samsung Galaxy TAB-2 display darkness problem solved! The SMD soldering experience is required as it is a bit tricky to solder these components.
